Ocean West Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 This sample shows how you can grey out the next / previous button when there is no next or previous record. This also shows the use of a custom function to help clean up your scripts & calculations enjoy Version: v7.x Platform: Mac OS X Panther PrevNext.fp7.zip
Ugo DI LUCA Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Hi Stephen, I am curious what function in 7 would be used to greyed out these buttons. I played with this theory a while back with 5 here The transparent graphics were ugly, but is that easier in 7 ? Just curious Version: v6.x Platform: Mac OS 9
Ender Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 I like both of these ideas. The nice thing about Stephen's text buttons is the simplicity in scripting, especially with the custom functions.
Ocean West Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 FP7 allows you to change text formatting. So that means you can CHANGE any font characteristics - even the font itself. I too have done similar things w/ fp5 but you usually have to create extra fields extra calcs and then stack them up on the layout. - truly a pain. Version: v7.x Platform: Mac OS X Panther
Adam Runtime Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 How do I download it!!?? I'm on OS 9 here... it just downloads 'download.php' which is useless! (I am normally a PC user...) thanks.
rockman Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Nice sample. One suggestion/question? Is it possible to change the script to "do nothing" when the text dims, and to restore the action when the button becomes functional again... In this way the button wont even hilight if the text is dimmed? (More akin to a truly disabled button)
Newbies Sourdough Posted July 3, 2004 Newbies Posted July 3, 2004 To Adam Runtime Control Click or Right click if you have two mice buttons, Save as Previous and Next, then OK... should save as a ZipFile for you...did for me.
