What to show last several sales for a customer on customer database.

I have a file that each salesperson fills out by phone number that lists

sales for each customer. These worksheets (in filemaker) are filled out twice a month. They are connected to a customer database and will input customer name (after # entered). (The customer database has all the customer info and call dates that they use to call.)

These twice monthly files are then imported into one database file. I what to include in a section of my customer database for each cutomer a list of last 12 sales made to the customer. How do I get this info to my customer file and listed in one file. The 13th sale would just be deleted. I want to show date, size and amount. All of which are on the twice monthly files and summary. Importing one and keeping one is easy. Importing last 12 sales with sometimes more than two a month etc. I have no clue. Thanks.

Why only keep 12 sales? Why not keep them all? You can easily setup portals and other functions that only deal with the last 12 sales, why go through the hassle of trying to maintain only 12?

They just need a history of approx. a year to show on screen. I need it to be on thescreen with the other info so they can glance at it when they are talking on the phone. Any help would be appreciated. Is it best to set up another database and just draw from that? And the best way to view

it? Can you tell I bought the program three weeks ago (no experience). This is the last thing I have to add. Everything else works great. Thanks.
