Just starting with FP7. Unlike 5 where selecting a value from a value lsit collapses the list, I am finding in 7 that when I select a value from the list, the value enters the field, the VL box collapses momentarily, then opens and stays open. Not very professional looking. I tried omiting the tab order but this has no effect? Any suggestions. Thanks.

What kind of fields are you using on this layout. Are you really sure your tab order + fields format (read-only) are set correctly ?

By any chance, is this the only field on the layout? Because if it is, FM7 wonderfully opens it for you again. So does 6 by the way. At least with XP that's how it works. List will pop again if it's the only field, while menu will not. I'm unsure if there is a difference on Macs.

If this is the case (that you only have one field and want to use list), you might try placing an invisible 1x1 px field on your layout to give your cursor somewhere to go. Just a thought ...

Good guess. This is the only field in the layout. Thanks for the idea to put a second but invisible field onl the layout.
