checking path of container field

Hi there, i just want to know how can i check the path of a file/picture inside a container field. Just like if i store a picture inside a container field and i just store as reference, now i need to know the file path so that i can open it using send message function.

"Import Folder"

-u will be given option to store image path....

-Open URL [field_path] will open it.

so the idea is to Import Folder vs. Insert Image....

inital import will be straight forward...second time u run the script adjust it so it does a filename match and Update the remaining record ( = add the new records)
