Font issue - retain length of field

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone aware of any existing font other than Courrier wich would allow a chains of text of same length to be formatted the same, notwithstanding occurrences of spaces or special characters ?

Thanks

The attachment may help understand the request, or find some other acceptable solution (may be 7 ?)

Ideally cross platform of course.

I found several by doing a google search for "monospaced fonts".

There's also Monaco, which is present on all Macs. But not cross-platform I don't think. You could use 2 different layouts and switch by platform.

BTW, your file some across as Courier New (not Courier, which I also have active) on my machine. I believe it's cross-platform, as it's a Microsoft font. I find this cross-platform font business annoying; but what to do? MS owns Verdana also.

Thanks for the google tip. Should have started with this for sure grin.gif

Yes Fenton, it was Courrier New, as it looks smarter than Courrier, and the way "0's" are displayed with Monaco is not very enjoyable.

Thanks for the inputs guys, and don't worry, I'm not going to use this portal with more than a dozen related records smirk.gif
