As is usually the case, I have a bizzare requirement smile.gif

Does anyone know of a method to display a PDF directly on a layout in the same manner one would display a PNG, GIF, or JPG image? I dont' really care if its done within a container or otherwise so long as it doesn't involve a lot of end user manipulation to make it work.

Cheers!

You have a couple options. You can insert the PDF into a container as an internally stored image. You will see the first page of the PDF as if it were a single page graphic. Or you can insert the PDF as a file reference and you will see the first page on the layout -- and double clicking the will open the PDF in another application. (You also have the file reference option, but it will not display on the layout as a graphic.)

You can copy and past a PDF on a layout as a GIF etc, but it seems to be a Mac only feature. But once the image is pasted in, you can see it on the PC too.
