I've looked in to the syncdek.com software and I was just wondering if there is an alternative (simply because it is synchronised via email - similiar to outlooks old netfolders which is a complete pain in the ****)

What alternative are there out there to sync from a server to a single-user copied file?

Hi,

1. An accurate Audit Tracking system

2. A bunch of scripts on both sides which extract the newly created and modified records, identify those deleted by comparisons, parse and sort the Audit Log data, then rebuild an Intermediary File, which will be used for the Synchronisation.

Could be as well a Temp_File for each file of your solution and a Temp_Summary file, with somehow an identical approach using several files.

This will depend IMO upon what kind of data is being synchronized.

But moreover, a very scrupulous methodology/procedure.

Maybe "outlooks old netfolders" weren't that bad after all...
