highlight list view or find in a list

what i would like to be able to do is either;

1. once i have a list of record search within that list for a keyword but i want to keep the found set in place but simple scroll through similiar to a spell check'

or

2. the ability to do a search and be able to highlight certain words throughout

any ideas on these anyone ?
