spankalee Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 So I hear that portals are not meant for printing, so you're supposed to print from the related record's layout. I'm confused as to how to do that when I have a layout with 2 portals. There's three databases in question. Invoices, InvoiceLineItems and TrackingNumbers. The main Invoice layout has a portal for line items and a portal for tracking numbers. I have printng working fine from a lineitems layout, but without with tracking numbers. How should I add them in? If I make it a repeating field then I have to limit how many boxes a shipment goes into. That may not be workable. Invoices are usually one page, and usually (but not always) under 6 tracking numbers. I'd like to print the one page, and overflow more than 6 tracking numbers onto the second page. thanks in advance again, -J
swf Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 I am having the same problem. I want to print a list of allergies and medications for a given patient. I have these nicely displayed on a layout with 2 portals. However, if you have only 6 portal rows and there are 7 allergies 1 will not show and this is unsafe. I have been reading the site in detail and repeatedly read not to print from portals. It would seem that having a report with two body parts would work but I don't think that is allowed. any experts have the answer on how to print data from 2 portals?
aaa Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Script Go to related record(show) for first relation Print Go to related record(show) for second relation Print May be this can help you? How you want to see two portals at the page - as two column?
