Newbies ancdawg Posted June 28, 2004 Newbies Posted June 28, 2004 I am using Filemaker for a member database. I am looking to create a member directory in Quark. Last year, I exported the records as tab-separated text. I then went into Quark and hit return a lot (there are 10,000 records) and then went through and bolded cerrtain lines and italicized others. Its just a normal database, but the end product needs to be in this format: Company Name Person's name Address L1 Address L2 Phone Fax Home Notes Is there an easier way to accomplish this? I have been told that there is a way to export straight from Filemaker to this format. Then all I would have to do is edit, saving weeks.
Fitch Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Quark HTML Text Import Filter would be one way to proceed. All you need to do is tag up your text before you export it. Create a calculated field that looks just like your example above, i.e.: "" & Company Name & "" & "
