Attached is an example of what I am trying to achieve. I want to change the value in a field but using the setfield. But this doesn't trigger the calc field to activate.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Insert would work though or use a GoTo Field "FirstName", then apply your SetField[ ]

one problem with this it that it doesn't work unless the field is on the layout. Is there a way to use the setfield for a field which isnt on the layout?
