In the contacts file I have a calculation (unstored) or

Using " par.gif" in the relationship key makes it a multikey, where each line is considered a key value. If you are trying to limit the relationship to matches of CONTACTID AND COMPID, then do not use the paragraph return as a separator. Instead use a pipe or a space.

Assuming that an organization can have more than one member, and perhaps one person can be in multiple organizations, you need to change your design.

You need a join file, OrgPeople, with a field for OrganizationID and a field for ContactID.
