Newbies cwt Posted August 13, 2004 Newbies Posted August 13, 2004 I am new to Filemaker Developer. Last spring I called filemaker prior to ordering FMD and asked if I would be able to generate Mac OS X and windows runtime applications from FMD for Mac OS X and the support person said "yes". Thus far I have only been able to to generate runtimes for OS X. Can anyone tell me if I was misinformed or if there is a special process for generating windows runtimes from a Mac OS X machine? Thanks.
SteveB Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 You'll need to generate the Windows runtime on the Windows platform. Steve
Reed Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 This brings up a question I have that I can't find in the license agreement. Is it OK to have one license for two installations of FMD (One mac one win) as long as only one is used at a time? Or do they really expect developers to buy two seats just to make runtimes for both platforms?
DykstrL Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I believe that the FMD license allows for concurrent use - where you can load it on more than one machine, but are only allowed to use it on one machine at a time.
