bigmalaka Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I am already starting to hate the old IT guy...ok I can access the database beng used online by opening the database remotely but I still dont know which database on our server (there are so many copies) that is being used. Everytime i try to access some of them, I get the error message "Sorry, Filemaker is unable to read the disk the file in on."
Steve T. Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Howdy. I'm not sure about the error but when you sit at the server, you can see anytime a db is accessed... e.g. when a web users performs a search, the db screen will "jump" a little and it is like you just did the search yourself and you will see the records found that matched your criteria. Or you can enter false data if there's a form submission and search for the db w/the false data, or you can open the database remotely w/FM client and then walk over to the server and close db's one at a time until it beeps and says someone is connected. There's probably more but that's what I'd try. Good luck! --ST
