longncsu Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Is anyone actually familiar with using the Fmrobot? Everytime I try to import my data into FMrobot it says I have it in the wrong format. I'm not sure how to get it into the right format. After doing some reading, my only thought is I need to purchase FM Deveopler. Is this true? Is Developer worth buying?
Wim Decorte Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 After you run the XML DDR (Database Design Report) on your files, you browse to the DDR file you want to use as the source. Don't pick the 'summary' file because there is no useful information there as far as FMrobot is concerned. If you're still getting problems after that, zip the DDR files and send them off to New Millennium support, they'll try it there. HTH Wim
longncsu Posted September 27, 2004 Author Posted September 27, 2004 So that means I DO have to purchase FM 7 Developer to get FMrobot to work?
Kurt Knippel Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Well you need the DDR report that comes from FileMaker Developer (either 6 or 7). So you either need to own Developer or have access to it to run the DDR. Other than that it is not required for anything else that FMRobot does.
