vr5150
Is it possible to have a value of a field calculation determine which layout to go to? Not a script but a calculation value. Here is an example: When entering info on a application you put down applying status is alone then at bottom you tab into field and it takes you to the next layout, but if the value was co-applicant it takes you to the co-applicant portion of the layout. andygaunt
A quick and simple answer to this one me thinks. The answer would be no. You would need a script to change layouts when changing field. you could use waves in motions ozaium events to trigger a script on exiting, but other than that you would need a button to go to the correct layout. You may be able to do this with a series of relationships to show different fields, but a lot of work.
Vaughan
Hmmm... there is an old trick of using a self-joined portal to hide or display layout elements. This might be useful.
danjacoby
To do it properly you'd need a script & a button. Vaughan's [really nifty] idea kind of breaks down if your users are tabbing between fields -- what happens if they tab into a "hidden" field? Just put a "Continue" button at the bottom of the layout, and attach a script that goes to the proper layout, based on the contents of a particular field.
