Activate script based on field data

I'm trying to make Filemaker tab to a different field depending on the data entered in one field.

Example: Field one has two options Yes No.

If the person enters Yes in field one auto tab to field 3. If the person enters No in field one auto tab to field 4.

I don't want to create a related database. Any suggestions?

This is called field-event trapping; it's not built-into FM. There are third-party plug-ins out there that can do what you want.

Activating a script upon entry or exit of a field is not native to FileMaker. Although it has been on many of our wish lists for as long as I have been developing in FileMaker. You can do this with a plugin as suggested by Transpower, or try one of the approaches shown in these workarounds.
