After installing FileMaker 7 Server and Server Advanced, I am trying to configure it.

I go to http://localhost/fmi/config and a screen comes up to enter an user name and a password (this is the first time I use so there is no username/password setup yet). I choose a username/password and click apply. But the server timesout and I can not proceed to the next screen.

Anyone has ideas what I have wrong? I am using IIS as web server and have already unchecked the option "Integrated Windows Authentication" but it still does not work.

Are you doing this on the server machine itself or from a remote machine?

I am doing on the server machine....So it really is localhost.

I also tried doing from a remote achine using the URL address and got the same problem.

Have you tried Administrator username with no password?
