Does Filemaker Server install on the server and then everyone accesses that server in order to access a solution? Or does each user have to have their own version of Filemaker installed on their computer as well?

Hi, Jeff. Yes, each user needs his or her own licensed copy of Filemaker Pro 5 or 6.

Yes, everyone needs a copy of FMP on their machine. Unless you have FM Server Advanced and use Web Publishing. Using FMP as a client offers more functionality than the web though.
