Help! FM Keeps Quitting when I open a file

Featured Replies

Just this morning I tried to open my files which I am working on (and was working on a couple of days ago just fine), and it appeared to start to run (the icon bounced in the dock, then the splash screen came up), and then it just quit. No message or anything.

I tried restarting and reinstalling (have done that twice now) and nothing seems to work. I am able to open the files in FMPro 6 which I also have, but I would really prefer to be able to open this in FMDev, as I quite like the debug scripts feature... (I know that's about the only difference).

I would be really grateful if someone can tell me what has happened - is there some conflict or issue with the software which I can sort out somehow?

Thanks in advance

Charlotte

Try deleting all the FM Dev preferences files first. If you reinstall without deleting those, you're back to the same situation as before.

Could another copy of FMD be running on your network with the same install code?

Opening iPhoto crashes my FMD6 at present.

Ianz,

Have you run the latest updater? I seem to remember this problem with one of the earlier versions (it may have been with 5.5).
