Inserting Quicktimes into Container Fields

When I insert a file or a picture into a container field I am given the option to store it

as just a reference to the file or picture.

This option does not appear to be available when inserting a quicktime.

If this is true, the insertion of quicktime movies will make for some real big files real quick.

Can anybody advise me how to keep these quicktime insertions as just stored references?
