Newbies avanti925 Posted November 15, 2004 Newbies Posted November 15, 2004 I am having a problem importing my logo from Illustrator into my form letter. It prints terribly. How can I correct this? Is there a way to use word for form letters instead of Filemaker's, while still importing client's info as the address? Or, a reason why graphics import terribly. (PS I have exhausted every aspect of importing I could decipher) Thanks..
transpower Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Have you tried different file formats for your logo? Using Photoshop or Hijaak or other programs you can convert your logo from one picture format to another and test these on your layouts. Usually GIF's and BMP's work fine.
Wim Decorte Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I tend to like Word better than FileMaker for writing letters. On Windows, you can set up your FM database as an ODBC source and use Word's 'letter merge' to extract data. Not sure on the Mac (don't use Word on Mac), but on both Mac and PC you can also use EZxslt from chapsoft.com. Extremely easy to use, better than using ODBC.
