carlocas Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 This seems like a basic problem, but I've spent hours trying to figure it out without success... Consider a basic invoice presented as a table with 3 records in it. Each record has several fields (name, quantity, price) separated from each other by a small vertical line, so as to have it look like a column. I would like to have the vertical line fill out the rest of the page all the way down to the footer (even thouth there are only a few records)... The more records there are the shorter the line... (in preview mode obviously) The strange thing is that I converted a friends FMP 5.5 file that did just that to FMP 7, and it does not work anymore... Am I missing something ? HELP Thank you Carlo Masque.fp7.zip
transpower Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 As a fix (not a solution), extend the lines down into the footers in layout mode. They will then display correctly in browse mode.
carlocas Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 Actually, I would like the solution to work in preview mode (I want to "print" the invoice)...
Ender Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to make your lines fill in the gap between the last record and the footer. I was not able to get this to work in FM6 either.
Fenton Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Does this do it, the "dummy" Subsummary. Masque2.zip
Fenton Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Especially since I was just guessing. When in doubt reach for a Subsummary part -)
