Mark@siu Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I am trying to perform an external script. After I specify the related record, no scripts appear that I can choose from. Any idea why this is happening. Thank, Mark
RalphL Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 External script implies that you are going to another FileMaker file. You must write the scripts in that file before you can choose them. If you are going to another table in the same file you don't need to call an external script.
Mark@siu Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 I am going to another FM file but when I try to specify the script in that file which I've already defined, there are no scripts listed to choose from Mark
Mark@siu Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 Here they are. As I've been working with this, some of the files have had to be recovered so I'm unsure if the files have been corrupted. Now it isn't showing values from the Overview file either so I'm not sure if everything is corrupted of if the relationship is messed up
-Queue- Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Try again. You'll need to zip the files first.
Mark@siu Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 The problem is between the "Overview" file and "Visit" file Thanks, Mark
Fitch Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Looking at your files: Visit has several file references to Overview, but Overview has no file reference to Visit. Go to Define File References and select the files you want to work with. Once you have the file refs set up, they will be available to use in your scripts.
Mark@siu Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 Please disregard my posts. I was working between my desktop and a USB card the USB card did not have scripts on it. I guess I had Visit open from the USB card and Overview open from the desktop. So I guess I just sort of messed up. Sorry for any confusion. Mark
