Losing user dictionary

Featured Replies

Every time I open this server-hosted file, it has forgotten where the user dictionary is. I have tried opening it as single user (i.e. closing the server and opening in FileMaker Pro), and then starting it up again with the server, but same problem.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas on fixing?

The dictionary seems to be referenced on a file by file basis. I can select the dictionary in one file and it will be retained untile the file is closed, while at the same time, another file still doesn't see the dictionary until I select it.

( Server 5.5 OSX, client FileMaker Pro or Dev 6 OSX. Clients have experienced this on various platforms. )

I have this problem intermittently with one of the 13 files I host and have not been able to pin it down. Will work for a while but will then require me to choose the user dictionary again. What's really interesting is that I have no problems with the other 12 files that I use regularly, just this one that only gets opened about once a week.

Thanks, Doug. Anyone else want to chime in? Is this file corruption or what?

I'll ask one last time about the user dictionary problem, then I'll stop bothering you. Has anyone any info on this?
