Heathbo Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 I have FileMaker 7 on the mac. Is there a way to make a pc runtime on the mac version of developer?
Newbies raf Posted January 11, 2005 Newbies Posted January 11, 2005 So does this mean one has to purchase both the PC and the Mac version of Developer?
Newbies zayas Posted February 15, 2005 Newbies Posted February 15, 2005 Hey guys! I'm new to the forums and I was interested in your posting, so on that note: Would you mind elaborating on how that works, I mean do I save the runtime twice once thru OS X and once thru Vitual PC?
andygaunt Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 To answer your question yes. To create a runtime FileMaker needs to create an executable file for each platform. Once you have created the runtimes once you can then just bind on the Mac for any updates (as long as you keep the same binding key) as the FileMaker files the runtime creates are the same for each platform. The only difference is the executables and system files that are created.
Lee Smith Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 do I save the runtime twice once thru OS X and once thru Vitual PC? That is correct. HTH Lee
Newbies zayas Posted February 15, 2005 Newbies Posted February 15, 2005 Cool! I was hoping it wasn't to complicated. Thanks for the quick reply.
