Show Parent ONLY if related child

Featured Replies

Hi All,

How do you prevent the user from seeing the "parent" record

if it has no child??

(say an invoice header that has no line-items)

thanks

Dan

Use the Relationships Graph to add an And condition.

an And condition.

What??? Isn't a global field in the child table needed to make ValuelistItems stuff it with a sample of all the foreign keys to make a GTRR(SO)

Another idea is to make the foreing key an autoenter serialNumber while the other side of the relation (parentside) is the keyfield forced throug the relation. This makes the key in parentside empty until something has been entered in the portal, which allow for a fully indexed search.
