Browser Compatibility

I just published a FMPro (IWP) to the web. It works flawlessly with Safari. However there appear to be many issues with other systems:

Mac OS 9.2. Netscape 4.7:

Buttons and Navigation Scripts do not work at all.

Some words overlap each other.

Left hand side blank.

Not useable for me.

stuck on page. BACK button in browser does not work.

Are there tables of what browsers and systems do and don't work and why?

IWP relies heavily on CSS and Javascript. Browsers that don't support these technologies are not going to work with IWP.

I've tested IWP successfully with these browsers

Safari 1.2 (OS X)

Internet Explorer 5.2.3 (OS X)

Internet Explorer 5.1 (OS 9)

Internet Explorer 6 (Win 2000 and XP)

Mozilla 1.7 (Mac OSX and Windows 2000/XP)

Firefox 1.0 (Mac OSX and Windows 2000/XP)

Netscape 7 (Mac OSX and Windows 2000/XP)

Opera 7.5 (Mac OSX and Windows 2000/XP)

Only Safari and IE are "officially" supported by FMI, but the 7v3 update fixed the script button problem with mozilla-based browsers.

Thanx for passing on the info Reed!

Howdy, dpsvp! Older versions of FM worked okay w/IE and Netscape but Netscape 4.x started being unreliable but we figured since it was old already (didn't the certifiate's expire?), very few folks would still be using it. AFAIK, IE users have not had problems but Safari was only recently added to the "supported browsers" list when Microsoft announced there would be no more development for IE for Mac (stopped at 5.2?). Reed's "unofficial" list should help you a lot, though!
