Changing text color for a number or text field

hello, this simple task may have been asked many times before, however, let me ask it again.

How would i set up the define field to automatically change the color of a specficed text in a field. ie. i want a red text for the text entered "estimate", i want a green text for a field entered as "actual". Do i really need a script for this or can i validate this in the define screen? And will this text color change instantly when the text is typed over a field?

I don't have the delevoper program which some of you talk about.

Easy in 7 (with the TextColor function), difficult in 5 or 6. Search the forum and you'll find a couple of methods.

I just did a search of "[color:"blue"]All Forums" using the "[color:"blue"]Keywords" of:[color:"blue"] +color +text +calculation and a "[color:"blue"]Blank" in the "[color:"blue"]Weeks" and got 200 hits (the maximum number)
