Hi,

Here's a strange one. I have a field where I have a button set up so when the user presses the button it enters a time stamp in the field. But I don't want the user to have the ability to just go in and modify the time stamp (but I want it visible still). Is there anyway to do this or do you have any ideas... it's for a time clock type thing.

With FileMaker 7 you can choose which modes to allow the user to enter the field. While in the the layout mode right click on the field and choose Field Behaviour. Then uncheck "Allow Field to be Entered in Browse Mode".
