Lucky Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I need to export several records on a daily basis, There are 10 fields in a record one being in a portal with several lines. The field name of this is: "Job request" The results are in a pop up menu and can be:- Artwork Amended Artwork Stereos Preset The problem I have is the .tab file I am exporting is showing each record in it's own line which is correct but the last field "Job request" is only showing the last line entry: "Preset". I need it show all the generated lines in order : "Artwork, Amended Artwork, Stereos, Preset" all on the same line as the other fields in the record. Any ideas?
-Queue- Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 If you are exporting the related field, then you should get the same number of exported records per parent record as there are portal rows. Are you summarizing your export by a particular field? That could be a problem.
Bailey Kessing Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 You should, but in FM7 I have noted a BUG that it does just one line...if you sort the main database even if when exporting you don't summerize.
-Queue- Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 You're correct. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this problem before.
Bailey Kessing Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Yeah, it is a really big problem for me. I hope that they fix this soon, but in this version they seem to have let a lot fo bugs thru....
sbg2 Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I think the attached File may export the way you want. In re-reading your post it may appear you want any selected Job Requests to export as 1 field? In which case 1 field defined as: Substitute(ValueListItems("ExportJobRequest";"JobRequest_ALL"); ExportJobRequest.zip
