Currently I am running a little CDML site through FM6, FMWSC, all SSL - security is priority 1. We need to impliment file uploads and having session based logins would be nice as well. We weekly have to export data.

What I am wondering is should I skip upgrading the site to XML and just purchase lasso and connect that to FM7? Or should I get lasso running off a MySQL database and just use filemaker in the back?

I am trying to find the easiest path to upgrade at lowest cost with most features (aren't we all). I'm afraid FM7 is going to take a lot of time and money to upgrade to, and if I am going to spend all that time, maybe I should swtich over to a more robust web solution.

Thought and advice wouldbe much appreciated.
