Jarvis
When I switch to a table view the Field Names all show up as a row across the top of the page. Is there a way to make them display vertically in column on the left instead? Microsoft Excel has a feature called TRANSPOSE where you can take a row of field values (A1-A2-A3) and convert them to a column (A1-B1-C1). I'm trying to generate a report that has a list of tasks in a column on the left and a spreadsheet like matrix that contains values on the right. Is this feasible in filemaker? Thanks, Jarvis
RalphL
You have to do this on your own. It is called Cross Tab. A search of "Cross Tab" for 1 year produced 26 references. Include the quotes in the search.
transpower
You have Developer 7 so you can use the custom matrix functions from The Shadow. These include a Transpose function.
