Hi i am very new to FM and Database, and have the following Problem:

I have two tables, Customers and Persons. One Customer can have more related Persons (Single Relationship). I have a Street and Town field in each table. i want to type in Streets and Towns, but to be remembered. So when i make a new Customer or a new Person, and go to Street or Town, there should be a Popup List, with the Streets and Towns, already entered in the data before. I tried to make a Table Towns and made a Relationship to Customers, and this works, but when i want to make a relationship to persons, Filemaker always tell me to make a new occurence, i think this is a second table.

But i just want to write the Town_id (Autoserial) into a Town_ID in the Customers, and into the Persons table.

So you have a one-to-many relationship between Customer and Person, perhaps related by customerID. Link the tables by this field. Then simply place the customer street and town fields on the layout for Person. When you select the Customer on the Person layout (e.g., by customerID), the street and town fields will be automatically displayed.
