2 Portals of the same DBase in the Same Layout ?

Featured Replies

HI,

My FMP file contain 3 tables:

I have a Table named "Project" ,one named "Parts" and another named "Elements"

A relationship have been established between "project" and "parts" usind a "Project ID" match field.

Then, between "Parts" and "Elements" a 2 creteria relation have been created: "project ID" AND "Parts #" .

That all work Fine.

So Now, I created 2 portals in "Parts" to show records related from "Elements". Obviously, "Project ID" and "Parts #" must match.

But , I want, some of the records related to a "parts", to appear, let say: "sort", in 2 Specific Portal, base on one field that a named "Category".

So, if a I have 2 "Elements" for one specific "parts" One will appear In Portal A (category A) and the other will appear in portal B (category B).

Thx

Guy

You will need a few more relationships to accomplish this. Pick a third key to relate to the data that will put one element in one portal and another element in the other.

Hi, thanks Doug.

What to you mean by "pick a third Key".

In my case, could it be "Category". And How could i make that become a relation or a criteria ?

thx
