One portal from two fields?

Featured Replies

Hi

I hope someone can help a Newbie with what is probably quite a simple problem

For your database you need three files: Paper, Referee, Paper_Referee (join table between Paper and Referee). With this you can show a portal of Referees in Paper, and you can show a portal of Papers in Referee.

In Papers, create a calculation field RefKey =

Referee 1 & "

Thanks for your suggestion. I had wondered whether that might be the way to do it but wanted to know whether I had any other options.

Many thanks for this. At first it wouldn't work, until I realised that the calculation was set to return a number instead of text. It works perfectly now.
