Connect to FM Server

Featured Replies

Hello All..

Running in to a small problem, and was wondering if anyone has seen it, or even better overcame it.

Start up FM Server Admin... Left Click FM Server=>Connect to Filemaker Server=> Choose (localhost) 127.0.0.1 =>Click Connect

Then...... Nothing

Server and the sample file are all on the local machine.. But I can not connect, Server opens the sample file, because I can go back to my client end and open it, but there is not a list of files etc...

Any Ideas?

How do you open the file from the client end? Is it by Remote Host from the open file within FMP? What do you mean by no list of files? I have had this problem on OSX with the first time I connect with FSA if the server is not running. The second time I connect with FSA all is well.

I use Open Remote in the client end, and the sample config file is there.

By "No Files" listed I mean that in th etree view of FSA there is nothing under the Filemaker Folder. Then it goes down to Services. There shoul dbe a spot that list all the files on the local machine, and you can open or close them. Depending on if you want to share them.
