Sam Laundon Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 I have two issues with FM7 (Mac OS X). 1. I am testing FM 7 Server on a separate Mac from FM 6 Unlimited. When I access FM 7 from another Mac (after closing FM 6 on the machine I am accessing it from) FM 6 Unlimited will freeze up and I have to force quit on the machine that is severing FM 6 Unlimited. Summary: FM 6 Unlimited on Mac 1, FM 7 Server on Mac 2, Opening FM 7 on Mac 3. The other issue is when I open Define/Define Fields on the Mac #3 it takes a very long time for it to open. When I close Define Fields and open it again, it opens right away. Is there something in the fields that is causing this initial slow response? Thanks in advance for your help - Sam

laker_42 Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Not sure on the first issue but the slow response could be due to incorrect file references. Was this database an upgrade from a previous version? If so, there is probably a bunch of old file references that it is trying to search through before opening the define fields window for the first time. Clear out the old references and it should work better. HTH, John
