Duplicating tables & layouts

Featured Replies

Hi. I have a table (A) with >100 fields, which is formatted with a custom layout. I would like to create a different table (B) using a subset of the fields from table A with the same layout. Is there a way to duplicate an entire table, then rename and edit it?

Thanks, Gwen F.

Check out FMRobot, it might be what you need. As an aside, why do you need a subset of the table, wouldn't it be better handled with some type of a relationship?

Let's step back for a moment. Why do you want a new table, what is its purpose? If you're using the same fields, this suggests a different kind of design issue.

Hi. I would like to use the same (or a similar) structure for the new table, but to modify (rename) the existing fields. Thanks, Gwen
