OK, My last post did'nt get me any answers.

So I will try again.

I want to update our 4.0 FM solution that allowed nurses to submit and update resumes online. We have an Xserver with FM server 7 advanced, we still own FM 6 unlimited, we have lasso 7 and studio 6. We can spend some money on upgrades.

Which is the best way to go and why?

Lasso

PHP

IWP

Custom

Thanks in advance for any good advice.

I don't think that you can use FMU and FMSA together. So, assuming that you will be using FMSA:

Try IWP, if it does the job that is the way to go.

If you can use your version of lasso with FMSA and you already have applications written, then that is the way to go.

I like using PHP because of the flexibility (and price).

All the best.

Thanks

PHP does look promising and IWP is easy.

The cost of software is not a problem.

The speed of development is.

Although our old solution is CDML we are willing to start fresh.

Is PHP more flexable than Lasso?

Which is the fastest develpment, fastest/reliable running?

Some of our needs could be met by IWP. Should I mix PHP with IWP rather than go with Lasso?

I've never used lasso.

PHP/FX are relatively easy to use. You can build your own library of common routines. You could also look at FXForge to generate PHP/FX pages.

p.s. It would be quite difficult to mix PHP and IWP (at if at all).
