I did a contact database some time ago where the name of the contact was used in a layout as text in the heading <<name>>, I have to use it again but i want to modify the size of the font used. I have tried to select it and change it, it appears fine on layout mode but doesnt change in browse mode. Help please

Hi Marco, and welcome to the Forum,

Did you try changing this in Layout Mode?

By the way, in older versions, don't know about v7, you only needed to change the leading "<" to modify the whole Inserted Field.

Thank You, got it solved.

Actually, you only need to assign the text formatting to the first "<" for it to take effect. I use this technique on button labels that have a rather long field name. I define the first "<" to the size I want to display, then set the rest of the merge field font to a very small size so it fits within the boundary of the button.

I already said that in my post above.

My bad - I must have missed that part of your post when I first read it. blush.gif
