lsmall Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 I need an effective automated logout procedure for IWP. It cannot involve the use of the status bar. I have used a logout button that activates the "exit application" script. This brings you back to the "File" screen, but when you click on a file you don't need to reenter login/password info. I need something that will prevent this and require a relogin after a logout. Thanks
Reed Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 There is no real way around this, except to modify the iwp_home.html file to direct users to quit the browser in order to clear their username/password from the browser.
hlabonte Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 To piggy-back your question, how do I prevent a different user from getting signed on following someone else's using the same PC. When I exit the application (with exit application), then go back to the database start link, it automatically signs in with the previous user's info (from cookies, right?). What can I do to prevent that?
Reed Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Tell your users to quit the browser when they're done. (Edit the start page to display instructions to that effect) If they don't follow your orders, you'll have to whip them There's no good way at this point to automatically clear the credentials from the browser. (Maybe you could complain to FMI about this too, the more the merrier)
