Related Data Not Appearing in Portal

I have a Main Menu layout with a portal. In this portal I enter information over three different fields. The portal is configured to show related records from a related table called Spots.

I have a second layout called CD Insert Front that acts as a print layout. I created a portal in that layout. I inserted the related fields within the first line of the portal. I have the portal configured to show related records from the table called Spots.

In my Relationships graph, I have a = relationship going from fields in the table Spots to the table CD Insert Front. Some tables have a green color, others have a gray color. Some relationships are drawn as a single line into the = symbol followed by what looks like a trident into the other table. The relationship I created between the tables Spots and CD Insert Front has what looks like a trident on both sides of the = symbol. I don't know if that makes a difference or not, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Ultimately, what I want to do is have info entered into the Spots table from my main menu layout appear in my CD Insert Front layout via the portal. No data is appearing in my CD Insert Front layout.confused.gif

I've got the infamous bible, and I've followed it to a tee. Any insight that can be offered into this is appreciated.

OK. As I understand it you are creating new records in Spots via the portal in the Main Menu and you then switch to the CD Insert Front Layout but the data that you have just entered does not show up. Assuming that all the portals are correctly set up then this means there are no related records. The first question that springs to mind is: When you create a new record in Spots via Main Menu are you creating the field values that you need for the relation to CD Insert Front?

Yes, the problem was related to records. Basically, I discovered that I had setup an unnecessary table that had no records. I was trying to pipe data from one table to another via a portal. After changing which related table I wanted to grab the data from, it is working.

I appreciate your response. It pointed me in the right direction.
