I have a FileMaker Pro 7 database with a "Date of Birth" field formated as a date (7/5/1985).

How can I calculate their age?? So that I can have a separate field that would show: 19.3?

I am not sure where you get the .3 from, but do a search on this site for +age and you will find several threads to help you out.

Indeed there are a ton of threads explaining this exact issue.

Since I went through the same task. here's what i found.

I have Age is a calculation field.

Truncate ( ((Get ( CurrentDate ) - dob ) / 365) ; 0 )

Hope that helps. it also eliminates the '.3'

(Definitely still search and find all the real answers to your problem. Some of these people are amazing about explaining it all.)
