Not print empty container fields

Featured Replies

I have 2 portals with 3 container fields (for pictures) per page. And I have 10 pages in my layout. I sometimes (well most times) dont have all the container fields being used , as I dont always need 60 pictures. My question is this: how do I Not print all 10 pages (other than every time go to print setup and choose print onlt 2 pages for example?) Is there a way to automatically only print pages that contain pictures?

Portals are not meant to be printed. You should be printing from the File where the original data resides.

They are container fields to hold pictures only. So are you saying it cant be done?

Containers can be printed, however they bring their own challenges. You said "Portal", which presents a whole different set of problems, beyond printing the container fields.

First of all, Portals are intended as a way of viewing the Related Data. What you see in the Portal, is what you get. The control you have over what is displayed, is limited to the options available when you set up the Relationship and Portal, and that is what is going to printout. It is just a lot easier to do it from the Related File where you can do things like, find, sort omit, etc.
