I have created a Filemaker Pro 7 database and need to share it with a colleague who has Filemaker 6 on her work computer.

How is this best done to preserve all field properties and lists?

Use either a CSV or .MER file formats, since both versions can read either format.

Hi Doctor,

As Steve has pointed out, you can move the Data, and you can include the Names of the Fields, but that is it. You will have to build the solution in version 6 pretty much from scratch, as the v7 is not backwards compatible. Meaning all layouts, scripts, calculations, etc. will have to be made again in v6.
