Ok here is the 3 files of my program that use to work like a charm but now they do not work. I need all my transfer files in billing1 and Monthadvopt to work like they should. The way they are set up now they use to work in Dev6 but now in 7 nothing is working and it has got me stuck big time. I need to finish the Monthadvopt but since none of the transfer files are working nothing is working like it should.

Thanks in Advance

You need to specify exactly what is wrong and how it should work. And you need to explain what your database is about. I looked at your db and i'm having a hard time determing what should work and how.

ok Safcust is my contact manager and billing1 is a monthly billing sheet. Monthadvopt is advanced options for this wonderful company I work for. We run 40% of our business either off contract or off rate card. SO I had to create a way for the data entry person to set up these clients as well. OK as far as the safcust file you click new add a customer and (for your copy only) check the january 2005 box then click contract. THis will launch a script that checks everyone of the check boxes to see what is empty if it is checked it grabs the data from the page you just entered and puts it on the billing sheet for that month and that year. Before it all worked flawlessly in dev6 but me in my infinate wisdom told them we needed 7 and now none of my trasfer fields work. Use to just be calc fields that grabbed the information from set fields in safcust and Monthadvopt. Now none of my calc fields are pulling the data as they did before. Just get nametransfer to work is a huge step as it helps on both cases.

First of all your missing files.

In order for "Monthadvopt" to work properly you were missing a file called "SAFAOrd"

And another file called "Billing2"

And for some of your scripts "billing11" was needed, which also wasn't there. I think your main problem is these missing files. If you have them attach them.

I'll look through your db some more after i get back from work.

Gug ,

Ok I have all files but is a stripped version I put up for people to download otherwise I would be posting a great program for free. I have all the files so that is not it skip trying to make it all work just make the transfer files work so if you put data in Safcust::nametransfer it will show in billing1::nametrasfer field.

Your the Bomb for helping me, Gug!

Thanks Tony D.

Okay I took a deeper look into your database, quite a large one. I noticed that you are missing two things in your database that could prove useful, portals and tables. You have none in the example you provided. Do you know how to use portals and tables?

In SAFcust>CM Contact Manager, there is a red box, everytime you put info in the box it appears in billing1>january2005, in the first column. But because you don't have any tables it creates a new record for every layout you have in billing1, and i'm not sure you want that.

Alot of the info on billing one is received through portals and I wrote this in dev6 and table were not an option or at least I never saw it I would have loved it as I had to write 24 different files instead of tables which just chews up Hard drive and file limit in 6. I understand portals and I am using them but never even worked with one table in 7 yet I got to finish this minor crud like I posted here then I am going to rewrite the whole thing in 7. One thing I had an idea about but I am not sure how to do it is make all transfer files portals but I am not sure how to copy them out of a Portal in the current folder.

THanks Gug
