Generating PDF's with FMS7A

We're in the process of upgrading our web-enabled (via Lasso) FMP databases from FMP Unlimited to FMP Server 7 Advanced and have hit a real problem with PDF generation. In the old system, the web client user would click a button which triggered a script that printed the current record to a PDF, which SMTPit then emailed to the user.

SMTPit isn't currently FMS7A compatible, but I figure Lasso can handle the emailing chores. However, I'm puzzled how to take care of the PDF generation step, now that we no longer have the flexibility of interacting with the FMP Unlimited client.

FMS7A is running on Mac OS X 10.3.9 and Lasso 8 is running on OS X 10.4.1. Any suggestions would be very welcome.
