Microsoft access has a nice feature: find as you type. Filemaker apparently is missing this feature. Is anything available in script or other way to get this feature?

Do you know how spotlight works in Mac os? It's the same thing that I want in Filemaker win and Mac version. I want to type some letters (for example a name field) and instantly appears all names that contains these letters.

Read please about find in the help and you will see that here must not be problems. For example you can in find mode type *abc* as regular expressions and type the part of the word. Find in Fm is very powerfull.

What you are describing is called Typeahead or Clairvoyance, and it has been discussed several times.

It is [color:"red"] not currently a feature. If you were to do a search of the Forum, using the keywords Typeahead, you will pull up this thread that has several workaround files listed:
