Hopefully someone could help me... I'm building an administration database for a school using FMP 7. I received a file from the school which contains courses for each student.

Here's a sample of what was imported. (This is only 2 students)

When I imported the data into Filemaker, I only imported the 4th value (Course). This list contains 7000+ records (one per class for each student imported).

Is there any way that I can generate a list of courses by keeping only ONE of each course imported?

The export feature in FM allows you to export a summarized set of records. I would export a summarized set of records by course in the format of your choice and reimport into FM.
